SLEEVE LINING

1 Bring the underarm point up and out by 1–1.5 cm (⅜–⅝ in.).

2 Draft the bottom edge of the sleeve lining at half the depth of the finished cuff. If your original pattern has a seam allowance included, then you have now finished your sleeve lining pattern. If not, add a seam allowance all around your lining pattern.

If your jacket or coat has shoulder pads, you can take a little wedge off the shoulder seam of the lining.

DRAFTING AN ALL-IN-ONE NECK AND ARMHOLE FACING

Sleeveless garments often have an all-in-one facing for the neckline and armhole. It will follow the same outline as your main pattern, but there are a few things to keep in mind:
